Former MEGADETH Guitarist Forms Music Production Company
October 19, 2003Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman and multi-platinum producer/engineer Allen Isaacs have formed a music production team in Japan. They will be based out of Tokyo and Los Angeles and will be putting their musical stamp on artists focusing on introducing their American influences into the massive Japanese pop market as well as bringing their vast knowledge of the current Japanese modern music scene into the American market.
Allen Isaacs is known in Japan for producing Mayo Okamoto's multi-platinum debut single "Tomorrow" as well as engineering and producing heavy metal band SEX MACHINE GUNS' latest three albums that have all sold in the millions.
Isaacs and Friedman are seeking fresh new talent to record. Along with talent contest events that are being held in Tokyo in December and January, they will be accepting audition packages from musicians who come to Friedman's official web site (martyfriedman.com). Although singers (male and female) are the focus of the auditions, they are also considering songwriters, guitarists and other musicians of any instrument who have their own unique style.
